Alleged Drunk Driving Cause for Woman’s Arrest
Georgia police see numerous bizarre behavior patterns when making traffic stops. In their efforts to keep the roads safe for all drivers, they find many stops are made because of drunk driving. A state trooper recently responded to a drunk driving incident and made an arrest. Emergency personnel were already on the scene when the officer arrived to find the driver of a vehicle asleep behind the wheel. The car was stopped at a traffic light around midnight and there were, in addition to the driver, three older, handicapped passengers inside. When the driver awoke and got out of her vehicle, police saw she had soiled herself and noticed there was a strong smell of alcohol coming from inside the car. Police reports claim the driver seemed disoriented. She could not maintain her balance and she admitted she had been drinking, but would not take a field sobriety test. Some investigation revealed…
