Woman Injured in Georgia Truck Accident

Many people don't like traveling next to a tractor-trailer on the interstate. Because of the size of the truck and the weight of some of the loads, other vehicles rarely stand a chance of getting away unscathed in a truck accident. A 55-year-old woman was injured in a truck accident on a part of I-75 that runs through central Georgia. A report stated the truck was attempting to enter the interstate from an on-ramp when part of the oversized equipment it was carrying hit the bridge that spanned the interstate at that exit. Some of the bridge fragments fell to the pavement and hit the car that was behind the truck. The woman was injured, taken to an area hospital for treatment and was released after doctors determined her condition was stable. The driver of the truck was not injured. He was transported to an area hospital after being thrown from his bike and died not long after his arrival. The woman was not arrested at the time of the accident but just recently turned herself in. She was charged with vehicular homicide and failure to yield. At the time…

One Georgia family is grieving after the loss of a 2-year-old boy in a drunk driving accident. At approximately 11 p.m., an SUV was stopped at an intersection and waiting for a green light when a pickup truck hit the back end of the vehicle. The little boy, who had been strapped in his car seat in the back seat of the SUV, died after being rushed to an area hospital. His father had been in the driver's seat and was treated for numerous broken bones. A report on the incident only stated his mother, who had been riding in the front passenger seat, was close to giving birth to a second child, but…
