Woman Chasing Boyfriend Leads to Fatal Car Accident

According to a report, the woman got into a fight with her boyfriend while at her apartment. He left the apartment in his car but she followed him in her vehicle with a gun in her possession. He alerted police to her actions after she fired shots at him from her car. Fearing for his life, he ran a red light and crashed into a vehicle that had proceeded through the intersection after the light turned green for the driver.

The third vehicle flipped over, ejecting the driver. He did not survive the injuries he received from the impact. The report gave no indication what action was taken against the boyfriend, if any. The woman entered a guilty plea for aggravated assault and vehicular homicide before a jury could be selected for a trial. She will have to spend 15 years of a 25-year prison sentence.

One man’s family will have to live with the tragic consequences of another person’s actions for the rest of their lives. Filing a wrongful death lawsuit in pursuit of financial compensation is a path they, and other families in a similar situation after a fatal car accident may choose. The are time limitations imposed by law in these circumstances, and a Georgia attorney can advise any clients as to the filing requirements and options for legal recourse.

Wonderful law firm that cares

I was injured in a terrible fall which left my foot, arm back and knee badly bruised. The Dozier Law Firm was awesome. Attorney Dustin Hamilton reviewed and accepted my case and within a few months he was able to settle my case for more than I ever imagine. The Dozier Law Firm is A+ in my book.
