Potential for Wrongful Death Lawsuit After Fatal Collision

The woman, a criminal justice professor at Georgia College, and her 15-year-old daughter were traveling on a two-lane highway when a pickup truck headed toward them crossed over into their lane and hit them head-on. A sheriff’s deputy at the scene stated the deaths of the mother and daughter were instantaneous. The driver of the pickup truck survived but was injured.

The 38-year-old pickup driver was transported to a local hospital, where he was treated for several injuries, including a broken pelvis. No details were given but the deputy did say there were charges pending against the man. The investigation into the collision has not yet concluded.

Making the decision to file a wrongful death lawsuit against the party or parties deemed responsible may not always be easy, depending on the circumstances surrounding the death. Each state has its own laws and local court procedures for a claimant to follow in his or her pursuit of financial relief. As such, finding just the right Georgia attorney with experience in representing these kinds of claims is a crucial step in seeking to ensure that the rights of the client are upheld throughout the claims process.

Wonderful law firm that cares

I was injured in a terrible fall which left my foot, arm back and knee badly bruised. The Dozier Law Firm was awesome. Attorney Dustin Hamilton reviewed and accepted my case and within a few months he was able to settle my case for more than I ever imagine. The Dozier Law Firm is A+ in my book.
