Man killed after driver cuts him off

The car accident occurred after the victim had slowed his vehicle to turn left. When the victim began to turn, a 45-year-old man driving an SUV drove up behind him and crossed the centerline. The driver of the SUV then entered the opposite lanes of traffic and struck the front-left side of the victim’s sports car.

The impact of the collision caused both of the vehicles to end up in a residential yard that was close to the roadway. Both of the drivers were transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital after the crash. The older man died at the hospital, while the younger man was treated for minor injuries that he had sustained in the accident. Police did not know why the younger driver performed the driving maneuver that he did, but they were expecting to file charges against him.

If criminal charges are filed against a driver after a fatal accident, the family of the deceased victim might have a clear-cut case for filing a wrongful death claim. However, a wrongful death claim can also be filed against a distracted or reckless driver who is not criminally prosecuted for their actions. Many families seek help filing this type of claim from an attorney.

Wonderful law firm that cares

I was injured in a terrible fall which left my foot, arm back and knee badly bruised. The Dozier Law Firm was awesome. Attorney Dustin Hamilton reviewed and accepted my case and within a few months he was able to settle my case for more than I ever imagine. The Dozier Law Firm is A+ in my book.
