Fatal Accidents Caused by Negligent Driving

A report on the court proceedings did not give details of the crash, only that the driver was speeding when his car crashed into another vehicle carrying four members of one family. The mother and two of her children were injured, but her third child, a 19-year-old man, was killed. One of the children still experiences debilitating pain from her injuries.

The 24-year-old driver accused and convicted of a host of charges, including first- and second-degree vehicular homicide is expected to spend the next five years in prison. The incarceration will be followed by 10 years of probation. The mother of the deceased man says she has forgiven the young driver but believes he should be held accountable for his actions.

This man is also facing another consequence of his actions. This family may decide that filing a wrongful death lawsuit against him will bring further justice. Should the family win an award, the amount could help with ongoing medical expenses or any other bills they may have. Georgia residents who find themselves in a similar situation should seek an attorney experienced in dealing with the legal aftermath of fatal accidents. Such an attorney will likely understand the obstacles victims must overcome in seeking a financial award and will fight to make sure their rights are defended.

Wonderful law firm that cares

I was injured in a terrible fall which left my foot, arm back and knee badly bruised. The Dozier Law Firm was awesome. Attorney Dustin Hamilton reviewed and accepted my case and within a few months he was able to settle my case for more than I ever imagine. The Dozier Law Firm is A+ in my book.
