Last Saturday a young father was killed by a drunk driver. The victim’s car was T-boned at an intersection on his commute to work. After the accident, the driver of the other vehicle was arrested. He has been charged with DUI and driving without a license.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time that drunk driving has affected this family. It was revealed later that a relative of the victim was also killed by a drunk driver. The family has set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for the victim’s young son. For those who can not help financially, the victim’s family asks that individuals not to drink and drive.
It is terrible for one person to be killed in a drunk driving accident, but for multiple people within the same family to be killed on separate occasions for the same reason is incomprehensible to anyone but the family of the victims. Victims of drunk drivers and their families could benefit from consulting an attorney. Attorneys in Georgia may be able to help victims and their families receive compensation for property damage, personal injury, or even the death of a loved one.
