Police say the late-night accident happened when the driver of a northbound SUV crossed over to the southbound lane and hit a smaller SUV head-on. The impact pushed the smaller SUV into a sedan. A 14-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy in the smaller SUV were pronounced dead after rescue personnel transported the three drivers and their passengers to a nearby hospital.
