This accident occurred just before 11 a.m. on May 27. When authorities arrived, they determined that the crash was caused when the car was attempting to turn left onto an intersecting street from the southbound side of the road. As she attempted to make the left turn, the driver’s car pulled into the path of a northbound motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was severely injured in the crash and was transported to a local hospital. Unfortunately, the motorcycle rider was pronounced dead later that same day. Local sheriffs are still investigating the crash.
A significant number of vehicle accidents could be avoided if drivers took the time to double-check for oncoming vehicles. This may be especially true for accidents involving smaller vehicles like motorcycles. Georgia residents who have been injured in a motorcycle accident may be entitled to compensation and could benefit from speaking to an attorney. Victims may use this compensation to cover medical expenses or property damage costs resulting from the accident. The families of victims who were killed may also be entitled to compensation for funeral costs.
