According to police reports, an 85-year-old woman was turning out of the parking lot of a pharmacy and on to one of the town’s major roadways. The young man’s car hit the woman’s car, and she died two days later from the injuries she sustained in the collision. The report did not state whether or not the man was injured.
The man is active-duty military, stationed at a nearby Air Force base. In addition to the homicide charge, police also cited him for not wearing his seat belt and for reckless driving. These charges came after police say they spent a lot of time and energy focusing on their investigation.
