The robbery occurred at Barcelona Wine Bar in Atlanta. Three masked and armed individuals came into the bar early one morning as employees were closing the restaurant. The regular employees who were present at the time of the robbery were restrained, and the manager was forced to open the safe. After she opened the safe, the manager was shot and killed.
Later, it was revealed that the manager, as well as another employee, had expressed their concerns about the establishment’s security to upper management. The email chain between the employees and upper management revealed that nothing was done in response to these concerns.
