The crash involved two cars and three injured individuals. One car traveling eastbound is said to have struck another car whose driver was attempting to pull onto the highway. Both the driver and passenger of the first car were transported by helicopter to Atlanta Medical Center, and the driver of the second car was taken to Piedmont Newnan via ground ambulance.
Witnesses to the collision informed the police that they saw the first car passing others over a double yellow line. They also said that the car was traveling at speeds exceeding 80 mph. Both cars have been sent to the state patrol’s Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team in order to determine exactly how fast the eastbound car was traveling, and the direction of the second car turning onto the highway.
Because of reckless driving and speeding, three people were taken to the hospital. Victims of car accidents know that the resulting medical bills and repair bills can be staggering and overwhelming. Those in Georgia that have been victims of crashes like this could benefit from consulting with a professional about the possibility of pursuing claims for recovery of monetary damages. Any compensation awarded could help to ease the burdens of any medical or repair bills that may arise due to the accident.
