Rainy Day Car Accident Results in a Woman’s Death
Summer is nearly here, and Georgia residents know that with summer come numerous thunderstorms. Pop up showers and day-long storms can make roadways hazardous if drivers are not careful. Last Tuesday, on April 24, slippery roads and a driver's recklessness resulted in a car accident that caused the death of another driver. Reports say that the crash involved three vehicles, two pickup trucks, and an SUV. One of the trucks was traveling westbound, and the other two vehicles were traveling east. The westbound truck crossed the center line and struck the second pickup and then the SUV. Both the SUV and the first truck eventually came to a stop on the shoulder of the road. Authorities say that the driver of the first truck, the westbound vehicle, was traveling too fast for the road conditions in addition to failing to maintain her lane.
