Drunk Driving Suspected in Fatal Georgia Crash

The incident happened during the morning hours of a day in mid-July. According to reports, a 34-year-old woman was southbound when her vehicle collided with a bicycle. The 29-year-old male cyclist died upon impact.

Police say that the driver involved was under the influence at the time of the accident. As a result, she is charged with DUI, driving while unlicensed, and homicide by vehicle. Law enforcement officials are still investigating the accident. She was denied bond at a hearing that was held in the days following the accident.

Many people who get behind the wheel of a motor vehicle after consuming drugs or alcohol may underestimate the impact these substances may have on them. Unfortunately, drunk driving can easily have devastating consequences — including for innocent people who happen to be in the wrong place. As such, families in Georgia and across the country are left coping with the death of their loved one. While a successfully presented wrongful death lawsuit will likely do little to lessen their grief, a monetary award could help surviving family members fulfill their financial responsibilities, allowing them to focus on their recovery.

Wonderful law firm that cares

I was injured in a terrible fall which left my foot, arm back and knee badly bruised. The Dozier Law Firm was awesome. Attorney Dustin Hamilton reviewed and accepted my case and within a few months he was able to settle my case for more than I ever imagine. The Dozier Law Firm is A+ in my book.
